.....I cant believe its been a year today that i started my little blog, i sat and had a scroll through it this morning at the past twelve months of entries, and they all felt like i posted them only just recently........where oh where does a year go.......i can remember thinking when i started my blog whether i would be able to fill it with enough stuff, or even wonder if anybody would actually be interested in reading it......now here i am, a year on and I'm still here wondering even now if i could possibly manage to fill it again for another year with crafte nook goodies and to hopefully keep people interested in stopping by for a look.........i think somehow this year i need to think about starting an on line shop......what do you think?....would anybody be interested in buying my funny little makes, what do you all think......i appreciate peoples honest opinions and i would like to hear yours.........i mean would anybody buy my 'slightly wonky dickie birds' for instance, or a knitted fox scarf or even a pair of wonky socks!...............let me know............................oh and speaking of wonky socks.......i finished them........my first knitted pair..................do you wanna see.....................................................
.....there.....they fit perfectly.....my first pair of homemade knitted socks using self patterning yarn........just brilliant.......and i have to say they were not as scary to make as i first thought they would be.......there will definitely be more 'wonky crafte nook' socks to come......though they did take me about three weeks to knit, not a fast project to do, but maybe i will get quicker.......
.......so......here's to ( hopefully) another year of crafte nook makes.......i wonder where my hooks and needles will take me next year.......or who knows, even my sewing machine.........
......Happy birthday 'Crafte nook'......
......xx Pixie xx......

Very cool socks, Pixie!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogaversary and a creative 2012 full of yummy stitching!
It's fun to go back over old posts. Sort of like a crafting diary, with lots of pictures and visits to your life by new friends. Sometimes I feel a little "blogged out", but I always come back to it with one thing or another, and am so rewarded with visits and comments. I think that blogging is another form of creativity and accomplishment. Pixie, yours is just the best! I love the warm and friendly vibe of your blog.... very inviting.... so keep it up!! Also, I think that listing an item or two would be a good idea. Try a couple of items that wouldn't be a big deal for you to part with and see what happens. It's almost a new year.... could be the right time to put your lovely arts and crafts out there for others to enjoy. Oh.... you did a fab job with the socks. Isn't that self striping yarn amazing?! I'm doing a pair black, white, and grey pair. Love seeing what's going to happen next as I knit!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI just headed on over from Dulcy's blog! Glad to become a follower! Happy blog Birthday...mine's coming right up. As far as opening up an on-line shop, I just started an Etsy shop, so I say, go for it! It's not too much money to run and you won't know until you try! People at my work crave the type of socks you just finished...so there is a market. Glad to be coming along for the ride!!
Hugs,
Courtney
Happy blogiverasry! I know what you mean I'm always amazed that anyone's interested in reading my ramblings! You have a fabulous blog.
ReplyDeleteGo for the shop, yes I think people would buy your lovely things! I have three now, etsy, folksy and Wowthankyou, the last one is very new so no sales there yet but I've sold in the other two. It's wonderful when people part with money for something you made :-) Love the socks by the way

Happy bloggy birthday Pixie!!! Soooo excited to see your socks - they're lovely :) Isn't it addictive? My second pair are taking me ages though, as I keep needing to stop to do Christmassy things... should get back on course now hopefully.
ReplyDeleteYes definitely have a go at a shop - you never know what it might lead to! :)
