......So........the super sized granny square blankie is not far from being finished..... and i love it.......every now and then i just have to give it a squeeze and a snuggle,, oh i do love a granny square......so comforting to pick it up in the evening and snuggle under it,, put a film on the box, make a mug of tea,,,,and then resume that soothing motion of yarn over, wrap round, yarn over, pull through etc..........hardly any thought at all......just a soothing rhythmic meditive motion that i like after a long day at work.........................................................................
.....Also...with all that workshop attending, flopperty flower sewing, doll making, blanket crocheting etcetera,,,i also managed to do a little bit of upcycling to an old slip that i had bought from a second hand clothes shop last year.....................and i have to say............................................................................
.....................................................I just love it.........................................................................................
......Hugs Pixie....

Oh please come visit my rabbits if you have a spare moment.
Oh! - it's lovely, the perfect happy petticoat, one to wear with a smile :D
ReplyDeleteIt just doesn't get any cuter than this! That last shot with the doll and everything else should be in selvedge magazine. Little tiny schoolgirl heads out on her very long journey across the ocean tomorrow. She is very nervous, but also excited......

ReplyDeleteLOVE your style pixie & your adorable 'julie arkell' inspired doll ♥ Beautiful photos.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Pixie, my friend!
ReplyDeleteLike Deb's said, I also love your style and the blanket is beautiful!
I can understand how it can be like a meditation making the squares for the blanket. ;-)
Recycling the slip with flowers is a lovely idea and you have transformed it!
I was wondering if you have ever heard of Holly Hobbie?
She was a very popular rag doll in the 70's. I think you would like her because your clothes style is similar. I am going to look on ebay and see if I can buy a doll. I always wanted one when I was little, but never got one for my birthday or Christmas.
So lovely to see your latest projects. Have a great creative weekend.
Fairy blessings,
Jo. x
Totally inspired and I have a terribly boring skirt in my cupboard that thanks you too x
