.....So what did i get.......
.....Well....i treated myself to a new skirt....a lovely long swishy skirt......a skirt with a very handy elasticated waist for what i call my 'fat days' if you know what i mean...
......and then,, whilst i was daydreaming away in this rather lovely shop i spotted a rather lovely cushion.....in fact it was calling to me....buy me buy me, you know i would look splendiferous in the front room adorning the sofa.....so of course i could hardly just leave it there...so the rather lovely cushion came home with me too.....
....And it was right....it does look rather splendiferous in my front room.....
.....then i popped into the newsagents to get the new copy of Mollie makes ( which i must add has got buttons with this issue...oh joy)......simple things just please me......Anyway yes' whilst i was pondering the magazine aisle i saw this lovely new mag.....and just had to have that too.....
.....( purse now looking a bit empty ).....
.....A really lovely magazine.....its got Foxes ( and you know how much i love foxes )...
.....its got stuff on herbs ( did i ever mention that i work in a herbalists as well as a hospital ).....
.....its got vintage interiors....
....a bit about preserves....
....i wont show you anymore in case you want to get a copy.....but it is a good read...lots on gardening and trees , the seasons , traditional crafts and off course recipes.........i bet the Christmas edition will be lovely......
....Anyway friends, i hope your having a good weekend and the weather is behaving itself.....
.....take care and hugs Pixie x.....
.....And one more question....
....Why does hair take so bloomin' long to grow....
....to think i had really long hair a year and a half ago and then did a mad thing and cut it all off....
...i dont know...x
I love your beautiful cushion. Saw that magazine a few days ago but now you have given us a peek inside I defintely want a copy. I am afraid my hair grows too fast and seems to always want trimming. My friend massages her head with a seaweed shampoo and swears it helps it grow. It certainly thickens it. Karen x
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did buy some lovely things pixie, love them all. That does look a lovely new magazine I haven't heard of it. Hope the retail therapy helped your off day. take care jayne x
ReplyDeleteOoooooooh I love a good shopping post! Look at all those fabulous finds hon - how fantastic. Your skirt looks amazing - I could totally do with one of those in my wardrobe for those evil fat days! The cushion is gorgeous and your magazine find - wow - it looks just perfect. I must have a look at my bookshop tomorrow to see if we get it here.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week hon. I've just started a new blanket so am about to sneak a few minutes with it before starting the dinner prep! Sneaky crochet - such fun!!!

Love a good retail shopping expedition!! You came home with some lovely things. Ooooh, now I want to go shopping : -)
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful Autumnal posting...I picked up that mag and then put it down again, then kicking myself (not too hard) all the way home as i adored that Mr Foxy fellow- A good one to try and paint. When i went to Totnes market town they had a lovely dress shop, well all sorts really all in that linen type look, I loved it. floaty dresses with floaty bloomers and floaty cardies with frilly loose details- i love the beige and greys and browns at the moment. You had a lovely shopping trip by the looks of it. That cushion is adorable...my father is a wildlife artist , always fascinated with birds and illustrated many books throughout my childhood. One day i will put them on cushions as i think they look beautiful life that. I inherited my fathers watercolour 'fox in the snow' when my gramps passed away...I still need to find somewhere to hang it. sorry im rambling hehe....have a lovely week x

ohhh i love your skirt! i found a 'Namaste' skirt on my friends stall last week for £12!!! of course i had to have it!
ReplyDeletei did the same with my hair last year-had it cut in a 1920's Christopher Robin style and regretted it almost immediately! it is now just touching my shoulders at the front and a bit longer at the back...but...i have an undercut too so have the best of both worlds!
