..................Magazines and catalogues.......................badly.......................................................................

....This past week has been especially bad as all the magazines that i am addicted to all appeared at the same time..........its been a magazine fest of great proportions...........so let me share with you my cocaine,my nicotine, my obsession.................

...Mollie makes...

....i cant wait to have a go at making some of these crocheted flowers....

.....love the bedspread.....

....these are cute too.....

....then i received my second Japanese crochet book which i have to say is absolutely amazing, just feast your eyes on some of the goodies inside......

.....lots of yum yum yummy yarn, in lots of yum yum yummy colours.....and...

....vintage style pot holders......gorgeous....and....

....the most loveliest crocheted hangers ever....

......i just loooooove this blanket.....

......and as for this.....well....i am awe struck....
....heaven....

.....then, next to come was 'selvedge'.....

.....wonderful clothing....

....must make sure to put this date in my diary....

......and theeeeen came...
...............country living..............which i have collected every month religiously since the early nineties....which makes for a very laaaarge collection.....i had so many that i had to be ruthless and cull some, so, i decided to just keep thirteen years at a time, (still a lot of magazines), but a manageable amount.......

.................so there you have it............a magazine fest of loveliness.........it would be really great to hear from you if you too have an addiction like mine, or a huge magazine collection that you would like to share........my next post will be probably Wednesday as i have some crochet yumminess to show you..(i know its been a while), i only have to work Monday and Tuesday this week then i have the rest of the week off, YAAAAAAY, so i will see you all very soon.....enjoy whats left of Sunday.....

  1. Oh Pixie, what a fabulous addiction to have! I bet you had a wonderful time sitting reading through them all. We have a total lack of craft mags at this end of the world but I do have quite an addiction to NZ Home & Garden - gorgeous and colourful. I have piles of them stashed about the house! I can't wait to see your crochet post this week - how exciting. Enjoy your days off hon. PS: So excited to see your Mollie Makes issue - I'm eagerly awaiting a copy soon as I treated myself to a rather expensive international subscription. Not sure how long it will take to get here though. x

  2. I confess, I share you addiction, I'm addicted to magazines too :-) I too had a good week, Mollie Makes, Cross Stitcher, Cross Stitch Crazy and World of Cross Stitch (can you spot a theme here, lol!) all fell through my letterbox YAY! Nothing better than putting your feet up with a cup of tea and a bar of chocolate and magazines to coo over!

  3. Dear Pixie,

I adored this post. Boy do we like the same things. Not only the mags, especially the hangers and that crochet scarf. The picture of the kitchen with the pink striped cupboard cover and the open window? (Where's mine?) But then there is Peter Gabriel on your sidebar and Truly Madly Deeply on your favorite move list.
I have to drive thirty miles to get a country living here in California, but its worth it!
