....Hello my dear friends.....

....and happy holidays to you all, oh don't you just love a bank holiday, and two at the same time it doesn't get any better....i have five days in total of holidays YES, five full wonderful me time days off from bloomin job......did i ever tell what i do for a living, well i use the word 'living' loosely, it pays the bills and feeds us that's about it, job satisfaction is a bit way down but that's because i work in Administration in the xray department of our local hospital.......its pretty stressful, but our little team do seem to get on pretty well......sometimes there's some bickering but that's natural in an office full of women.....

....i also occasionally work in a friends Herbalists, not sure if i told you that either.....perhaps i need to do a post that involves in filling in a lot of blanks about me...........but that's for another time.....

.... Right now i just want to show you my NEW ''Pixie Patchwork watches''.....

 

....i have made two so far...

 

....i like the hand made clay button on this one...

....i got my friend to model one for me...

...they have a large snap fastener to hold securely in place...

 

 

.....i shall be popping these into my Etsy shop over the weekend....

 

 

....plus off course its Friday so i couldnt really say goodbye without posting a 'Photo Friday' picture now could i....

....Its just no good....

....i am in desperate need of more time in my day....

....I tried looking on Amazon, cos Amazon sells everything, so i kinda assumed that they might sell more time in small gift boxes, but they didn't....

...Then i thought i would scour the isles of online shopping on Ebay, because you never know, someone somewhere on this planet might have some spare 'time' that they want to sell......but no.....not there either....

....So if anyone out there knows where there might be a place that i could purchase some 'more time in my day'....then please please do drop me line......because it seems that the majority of my 'time' is spent either working or grocery shopping, and then there is the grand kids to fit in, and the elderly parents to visit, the running back and forth from one place to another for what ever reasons now escape me.....and all the other stuff that you have to do just because you have to do it because nobody else will............................there, that's my whinge over................



.....so here's a small crocheted ring that i have managed to make in the last week.......and that's about it....

....A history of me at the nook..... yes i am shy....never was very good at having my picture taken....

....yes this is me....i was 12....i used to sit for a photographer quite often when i was a kid, all sepia Victorian type photos, i think this was 1978, hard to believe it was taken in a tractor shed at a golf course, it was the middle of summer and that original dress was bloomin hot to wear..........and before you ask, no, i wasnt asleep..........just bored.....

...this picture of me in my finished shawl has been repinned on Pinterest 70 times, i cant believe it....

....another finished scarf...i loved knitting this, 'ships and sails' by Tiny owl knits...

....a selfie...

...ahh yes...the 'black berry pickers' hat...a good hat for spying on fairies...

....an altered garment...'who in the world am i'....i wore this all summer last year...

....hairs getting longer....i still cant remember why on earth i cut off in the first place....

....i never have liked my picture being taken....i would rather blend in with the trees....

....the 'camp fire' cardigan....love it....

....yes, those boots that i had so many emails about, i bought these in Paris several years ago, there by 'Camper', i think you can still get them, probably somewhere on the Internet...they are super comfy...

...and off course the 'mad hatter watch brooches', and more on the way...

....i have nearly finished a wall clock in fabric and wood, i shall post it up very soon,   tomorrow Mr P and i are off to London to see the 'Viking' exhibition at the British museum....

....crochet...crochet....crochet.....

....Its been a crochet kinda week....


....Hooking here....and hooking there....


....and finally a piece of crochet that has been hanging around this nook of mine for what seems like years has been finished.......HOORAAAAAAAY....

 ....i made the whole granny square front a long time ago, and after i stitched the squares together i completely got side tracked with something else, and there it sat...waiting....and waiting....and more waiting, for me to finally finish the poor thing......

 ....i have to say i am most pleased with my little cushion....

....i decided that i would make the cover a removable one, what with this being a home of two old cats and a ( spill everything, slop everything husband ) it seemed like the best thing to do......considering how long its taken to finish it.....

 

....the back i crocheted in half treble all the way....

 

 

.....then.....i finished some half started mini bunting....just like the one i made at Christmas but this time i added a little contrasting button on each and a little bell for some extra Springy time jingle....

 

....i need to do a bit of blocking with these as there all a bit twisted....

 

.....i do love a bit of bunting....and i do love especially mini bunting.....if you want to have a go making some like mine....i started with a chain of thirteen, half trebled back though that chain, then decreased a stitch at each end every other row, all done in half trebles......simples...x

 

 

.....And to end with, have you seen the latest copy of 'Simply crochet'?.....oh there is so much goodness in this issue....

....especially that fantastic cowl tutorial by 'Bunny mummy'......a very simple idea....but oh so wonderful......i am going to make hundreds of these for Christmas this year........yes hundreds....

....Also i have been dazzled by this amazing trimming.....i love the little bells that have been added.....

 

....and off course this adorable Amigurumi bunny brooch....cute, cute, cute....xx

....time to put that kettle back on and find my crochet hook again....
