.... i was very lucky as i had a wonderful opportunity to stand and chat with 'Emma Cocker' who makes the most incredible fabric characters, do go and check her blog out 'Here'........i wanted to take them all home with me.......i think she is exhibiting at The Selvedge winter fair at the end of the month, perhaps its time for a 'me' treat again....eek.
....i loved Faye Moorhouse illustrations, i bought one of her paper mobiles which now hangs in my bedroom....
....There were so many stalls, at least a hundred crafters selling there amazing makes, i should of taken more pictures but i was too absorbed in the atmosphere and forgot....sorry, but do go and have a look at the website for the fair, there are lots of pictures there.....
....Debbie Greenaway....illustrator and print maker...
....again another lovely simple little sketch by 'Faye Moorhouse....
....Clara Francis....
....Lovely Emma Cockers business card....
.....and off course 'I like cats'......that goes without saying...
all things cattified....
.....after the fair we headed up the road to the huge Spittlefields Saturday craft market...
....this is really big and so so much to see...
and then a wander about, i thought i would show you these houses, i love this road in London ( Fournier street )and a dream of mine would be to own one of these amazing homes, i love everything about them and love the colours that they are painted in.....and the window shutters, and high ceilings, in fact everything architectural about them.....
....i know Dan Cruikshank lives in one of these, not sure which though......i think i ponder this every time i walk down this road....i imagine myself knocking on his front door and him answering and inviting me in for tea and cake and showing me into his incredible front room to listen to his calming voice as he talks about history and all the places he's been........you never know! it might happen.
.....there probably not to everyones taste, but they are very unique and also very expensive.....that's why it will always remain a dream for me....
.......
i liked this board too outside a little cafe....
....there's also a very well known Deli that is very high on my list of favourite shops......its called 'Verde and co'
....such a shame it was such a wet day, when the sun is shining the front of the Deli has flowers outside and produce....
....
....when it was time to head back to the station we stopped off at Summerset house to see a 'Stanley Spencer exhibition, and outside the front they had erected a huge ice rink....
....plus Reindeer...
.....well that's it for now friends, i am making a nest in my favourite armchair today, crocheting and taking it easy, my legs ache after yesterday....
....see you soon...
