.....My camp fire cardigan is finally all finished.....
....and i am so pleased with it, it turned out just perfik, all snuggly and warm for winter camp fires, a nightmare to try and photograph though.........sorry, taking pictures of yourself is really difficult....
....the pattern is by Erika Knight from her simply knitting book, and knitted in lovely soft double knit Merino yarn.....
....and this too was my first attempt at attaching sleeves, and they too turned out just peachy....
.....now i have finished this project i really miss it, i neeeeeed to knit, but i must concentrate on finishing making my Christmas presents first before i embark on the next big knit....
....I have seen so many wonderful patterns on Raverly and on Pinterest i just cant seem to decide what to make.....should it be a jumper!! not sure, should i knit it in the round!!, not sure, should i knit that rather spiffy poncho from my new book!!, not sure........oooh the choices....
.....yes, yes, finish the pressies, but inbetween the pressie making i need something else.....
....but what i wonder....hmmmm...
.....so this now brings me to.....
.....Nook thing number 2....
....the perfect thing for inbetween projects.....the perfect thing while watching Downton.....the perfect thing for quickety quick making......and the perfect thing for Autumn evenings.....
....A new Granny blanket....
....oooh it is a wonderful feeling to be hooking a new blanket again....
....this pattern is super fast to hook, with very little in the way of ends to sew in, and can all be attached as you go...........yes sirree......perfect......xxx
.....i trawled through countless images of crocheted blankets for a new idea, and then found this pattern over at the very talented 'Cosy things', Kristen is a very inspiring lady, and her makes always amaze me.....
....so more of the Granny blanket another time.......though i do need to give it a name, as i always give my blankets names.........so this one will be, ( and i have no idea why ).......'The wind in the Willows blanket'.
.....and now last but not least, and this one has got me all excited....
....Nook thing number three....
....A new book....
....An oh so beautiful, pretty book....
.....this book is filled to the seams with the most gorgeous little projects.....
....completely in love with the mushrooms....
....the cutest snail....oooooooh....
.....squeal....
.....Sweet peas, my favourite.....
.....bugs, bugs, bugs......but cuddly and cute, not stingy and slimy....
.....i had a little go at the sweet pea while i was waiting for the Internet to load.....i think i may have to make a million of these.....
......So there you have it my friends, some nook things to share with you, i am now going to go and begin preparing the veg for our chunky stew , and then go and close up tight all the windows and prepare for the forecasted hurricane that's heading this way tonight, i hope that it wont cause too much damage across the country, and that every one is safe, take care everyone, hugs, hugs....
.....Pixie....

Its 11.45 now and just very windy and wet along the coast from you in Bexhill. Keep safe. Karen xx
