...I had a birthday.....well an un-birthday.....
....''whats an un-birthday''!...i hear you cry....
....an un-birthday is not the official birthday....
....i changed my birthday a few years ago as i felt that enough was enough and having a birthday a few days after Christmas was just pants.....
....yes ..pants....
....so i changed it....
....to June....a much nicer time of year, a warmer time of year, a time of year that's not near Christmas.....
....a time of year when friends and family don't mind buying you a pressie......and everyone in the family breath a sigh of relief that they dont have to think about my birthday for six months....
.....so what did i get?....
....firstly and most excitedly, Mr P bought me a brand new Yoga mat, a Gaiam yoga mat, a beautiful beautiful extra thick mat......my poor old sticky mat really has seen an awful lot of yoga over the years and has lost all its sticky and was a bit flat in places.....but now.....i have a new one..... though i do feel a bit sad for my old mat......i dont think i could throw it in the bin, but how do you re-cycle a yoga mat!......any suggestions.....anyway....

....the box set of 'Sherlock'....oh my goodness, how i love Sherlock.....i can watch them over and over.........wouldn't it be great to have a friend like Sherlock Holmes?.....well Mr Cumberbatch anyway..mmmmmm..x
....some smelly smellies...
....and also some wine, some money, a gift voucher, and a really weird looking plant which i forgot to take a picture off.......i have no idea what it is, and neither does my son as he through the tag away, ....i shall get a picture and post it up soon and hopefully one of you lovely people could tell me what on earth it is......
.....so that was my birthday....the sun shone, and i sat outside and crocheted most of the day.....
......bliss....
.....and here's a sneaky sneak peek at what i am making.....
....hmmmmm,, is that a pair of legs maybe!.....all will be revealed very soon.....
....Anyhoo,, love and hugs to you all, i hope you are all well, and the sun is hopefully shining too....
.....i am now going back to a glass of wine and to finish the last bits of my little crocheted project.....

....Tales of the Riverbank blanket....
....I have returned from my journey.....
....a journey that involved me, and a blanket....
....a crocheted blanket....
....a warm and snuggly blanket....
....this blanket is big, a double bed size, a campfire size, a Riverbank picnic size.....
.....there are 157 squares, and 140 cluster bobble swags, umpteen balls of yarn.....
.....a most marvellous collection of home grown yarny goodness.....photos of handmade blankets always make my heart leap with joy....
....it even got the Molly seal of approval.....
....a bit more yumminess....
....and a question...
....why cant i wear buttons as earrings?...

....photo friday....
...I have been lost for two weeks.....
....I have sat almost lost in a meditation of hooking....
....i think for a time spiders spun webs in my hair, and mice nested in my pockets as i sat for long periods weaving yarn....
....its been me, and the blanket....
....but now our journey is nearing its final stitches, and the final spells are being woven into it ....
....so dear readers please forgive me for my absence, but i was lost, but now i am nearly home..........and i shall be back with a photo gallery of a Riverbank blanket completed.....
