....Oh my GOODNESS.....

.....Has it really been a whole week since my last post, that's not very good is it?, i really must try harder, actually this last week has been kinda 'blah', its been a 'blah' week at work, a 'blah' week on the creative front, still feeling 'blah' with the ever lasting cough cough coughing, and all generally just plain 'blah', it goes like that sometimes doesn't it?... anyway, the 'blah' week is over now so Mr Pixie and I started the new week with a trip to London for the day to see an exhibition that i really wanted to see....
....Now.... i know there are people out there that aren't gonna like this, in fact i know people are going to think all sorts of things about me after i tell you who i went to see today, but you see, i am going to admit to the world that i am a supporter of the very controversial 'Tracy Emin',  i really do like her work and the exhibition today was at the Hayward gallery on the southbank which consisted of a  substantial amount of work by her, including drawings, paintings, sculpture, neon signs and some very heart felt diary entries. In this exhibition i felt that Tracy really did wear her heart on her sleeve and was very open about a good many things, some off which i did actually have to hold back tears as some of her stuff was really quite emotional, but also very painful and raw, yet beautiful at the same time, so just bear with me as i show just a tiny amount of artwork that we saw today, these aren't photos i took as you weren't aloud to take pictures so i have got some from the internet of the actual exhibition........i hope you see what i see.....

                                                   'Love is what you want'

....these are all the embroidered blankets that she makes, i wish i could off found a better picture for you to see....

...i loved this little embroidered chair...

....more blankets...

....There...not too many...as you can probably imagine a lot of it was pretty controversial so not very appropriate to show, but a small sample for you to see from today's day out.....

.....Hope your all having a good bank holiday so far and your not all having the 'blahs' like I've just had, see you all soon....Pixie x x

  1. Hi Pixie, wow what a lovely post! I really like her work - but have to admit I don't know anything about her (I will have to find out more). So pleased your blah week is behind you! I hope the coming week is fabulous hon. Take care.
