...Hi there....
....friends out in blog land, wherever you all may be on this very beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon.
Today has been a fairly sedate kind of a day, a day that has drifted along on its own leisurely sundayness.
The morning was just taken up with having a lovely long lay in with the morning paper and a mug of hot tea, then fair amounts of faffing about and drifting from one room to the next, then at midday the whole layed back theme was spun on its axis by a very excited two year old clutching a bucket and spade in hand and shouting at the top of her lungs "come on Ninny, were going to the beach", , she calls me ninny,, she already has a nanny so to stop confusion i opted for the ninny nanny. Cant imagine what the locals must think when shes shouting it out, aah well.
Then after my son had driven away and about fifty "bye bye ninnys", yelled from the back seat of his car, i retired to my little creative space to quickly finish a page in my sketch book.
You may of noticed the crochet and knitting has slacked of a bit off late, this is due unfortunately to a painful left hand and thumb, each time i try and hold my crochet in really aggravates the problem, i think i may of over done the knitting and crochet and given myself a bit of a strain injury, so i need to rest it for a while.
....So, art it is for a while I'm afraid, sorry, i hope my lack of woolie bits and bobs doesn't deter you, i shall be back to clicking clacking and hooking very soon...
...Anyway, have an enjoyable rest of Sunday afternoon everyone wherever you are.... Pixie x

...Mr Pixie and I...
...took a trip to Camden town in London at the weekend, for those of you that know Camden will know what a fantastic exciting place it is, i just love it there, the people watching is great and the atmosphere is fun. There is fantastic food, vintage clothing and home wares coming out of every nook and cranny, oodles of stalls full of sumptuous goodies, and you don't need to take that much money with you to have a good time, brilliant.
At the market, which is mostly indoors and underground you aren't really allowed to take photos, but i just had to show you just a small amount of the vast quantity of sculpture that fills this enormous market, i had to be vary sneaky with my camera.....

....these carved wood signs are huge, and above most of the entrances to the stalls outside....
....more horse statues....
....then there's the spacey section...
....this huge Indian is over the entrance to a massive new age section....
....recycled vespa parts made into seats for you to have your food, brilliant...

Its not a bit windy,
its not a bit wet,
the sky is as sunny as summer, and yet,
little umbrellas are everywhere spread,
pink ones and brown ones and orange and red.
I can't see the folks who are hidden below,
ive peeped and ive peeped round the edges, but no,
they hold there umbrellas,
so tight and close,
that nothing shows under,
not even a nose.

...The mysterious case....
....of the missing bunting....
I had just finished knitting some spring bunting to hang up in my little nook kitchen, and was getting quite excited about hanging it from the ceiling to be admired by moi and Mr Pixie, but when i went to collect it from the front room on Friday, it was gone!!!, gasp!! horror!!, where's my bunting?..... I looked everywhere...
....I asked the bird on the book shelf, 'have you seen my bunting',....?

I looked everywhere...
....I asked the bird on the book shelf, 'have you seen my bunting',....?
.....he just looked at me blank, and tweeted 'no'....
So then i asked Flo if she had seen my bunting, and she said......
'nope'.
...I then asked the owl and the pussycat if they had perhaps seen my bunting, and they said...
'whats bunting?'
.....I was getting a wee bit upset as i searched high and low for my bunting, and then i happened upon a certain bears, chest of drawers..........remember the chest of drawers?.. weeeeell....
....OK WHATS THAT, GRRRRR......
...WHAT THE,! OOHHHHHHH....
....I shall be having firm words with that bear.....
....missing bunting now where it should be...................xx

...Well look what i got....
...i went and got a 'stylish blogger award'. I am so thrilled with it, and want to say a big big big thank you to
'Leah' over at ,'why didn't anyone tell me for sending it, Thank you Leah, you are very very kind and you make the most beautiful crocheted things, 'especially your tea cozies'. x
Now, apparently when you get one of these things you are supposed to share eight things about yourself, so here it goes, ummmm......
...well.....
1. I am a vegan, so no dairy for me, or animals. Although i do have a little iddy bit of fish as i just think you
should....
2. I cant get enough of curry and carob coated peanuts, obviously not at the same time....
3. I have watched the film 'Truly, madly, deeply' probably about two hundred times...
4. I like insects especially beetles and butterflies...
5. Apart from working in an office during the week (which i do part time) i also work in a herbalists, mixing
creams and ointments and working with dried herbs and tinctures....
6. I have collected 'country living' magazine since 1989, so i have a huge collection, although i have had to
cull some as i just don't have the space...
7. Ummmmm what else.... i love my brown suede zip up boots, i live in them all year round including
summer.....and finally....
8. I have a 24 year old son called Sam, he's the bees knees, and he has a 2 year old daughter called Lily
and a baby boy due in April, so that makes me..............yes a nanny..... though Lily calls me ninny, so
before you start thinking good grief how old is this woman, i am 44......... though i feel 24.
How was that, thank you again Leah for the award, hugs hugs. x

...Topsy, Turvy...
...for a couple of days.
I have, in the last five or six days been up against quite a few different ranges of emotions, from absolute anger (which was aimed at me down a telephone at work) to unpleasant comments, then to love and forgiveness. I know the anger that the woman was projecting down the receiver, of my phone last week wasn't directly aimed at me,,, and i know that the unpleasant comment made by another when they thought i wasn't in ear shot was just there way of expressing there personal short sightedness,,, and then i also know that the love was still there after an unexpected angry outburst by someone dear, i also know that i managed to handle all those different situations with care, and calmness, no matter how they made me feel at the time.
So,,, here's to keeping my cool and remaining calm under those difficult situations, i feel a better person for it.....x
