....Hello all......

....and happy February to everyone, and also a very warm welcome to some new followers that i seem to of gained just recently....welcome, welcome, welcome..........

....I am feeling much much better now,  the slumps seem to of lifted  and my creative mojo is back up and running.....phew.....
.....cant say i liked feeling like that at all, its just not me....but i know that next time the slumps hit,  to just go with it and make the most of the resting phase until it passes and i can start creating again.

.....So just some bits and bobs since the weekend.....
.....Firstly.....some finds...........

.....Mr Pixie and I did one of our antique shop, vintage shop, nic nak tours at the weekend and what did we come home with..............................

....Well i found this , a 'She' magazine from the year i was born...just take a look at some of the ads.....

....one more......just check this out.....

....goodness me.....

......anyway, the next thing i found was an old knitting catalogue that i remember my mum having when i was really little, i just had to have it as the humpty dumpty pattern in it my mum actually knitted for me........i don't know what ever happened to humpty, probably got lost in one of the various house moves......

.....and then i found an original oil painting that i just new i had to have.....Ive called him 'Bertie'.....

....its quite an old painting and i need to do some investigating to see who did it and when....

.....Also...
.....I have nearly finished knitting my second pair of socks, i started these way before Christmas and then just left them on the side and sort of forgot about it....until two days ago, and i made myself pick it up again to finally finish them......

.....And now i am going to show you all a teensy weensy glimpse of something completely new and different that i have been working on.........i shall show you more very soon but for now just a tiny peek....

.....See you soon...

  6. Hi gorgeous girl! So pleased the slumpies have ebbed. I have absolutely laughed myself silly looking at those ads. Especially the 'too skinny' one - what a scream. Bertie is great - it will be exciting to find out more about him and his artist. Seeing that knitting book has brought back memories - I think we had a knitted Humpty when we were little too!! And as for your socks - gorgeous!!! Have a fab weekend hon - see you again soon. Leah xxxx

  8. This is a really fun post! My mom used to give me Toni permanents in our tiny bath. It's a wonder we didn't pass out from the fumes. My straight little Dutch girl haircut would turn into a mass of curls that you couldn't beat down with a broom! But I loved having a new "look" even at 8 years old. Also, I remember my father driving home in a new Renault right after they came out (where we lived that is). I thought it was sooo cute and tiny after being used to the family station wagon which carried us and the dog all over the place. I'm extremely curious and excited to see about that pretty little face peering up over the corner of your last photo...... please show us soon!
